Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (these "Terms") are a binding contract between you and the operator of The Hood (the "Service", "we", "us", "our"). By connecting a wallet, creating an account, or using the Service in any way, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of it, do not use the Service. You accept these Terms by checking the acceptance box and connecting your wallet, and you re-accept them whenever we publish a new version.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if all of the following are true. You are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if that is higher. You are legally permitted to participate in prize draws and to transfer digital assets where you live. You are not located in, organized in, or a resident of a jurisdiction where this Service or its content is illegal, including the United States of America. You are not on any sanctions list, and you are not using the Service on behalf of someone who is restricted.

You are responsible for knowing whether the Service is legal for you. If you use it from a restricted location, you break these Terms and you alone carry the consequences. We may block access from jurisdictions at our discretion, and we may close accounts that we believe are restricted.

3. The Service

The Hood offers raffles, lotteries, and player-versus-player duels denominated in digital assets. You deposit SOL, USDC, or USDT to a deposit address we generate for you, we credit your account balance with the USD value at the market rate, and you use that balance to buy raffle tickets or join duels. Winnings are paid to your balance and withdrawn as SOL. Draws use a commit-reveal scheme described on our Provably Fair page, and you can verify every draw yourself.

4. Your wallet and your account

You sign in by proving ownership of a Solana wallet. You must control that wallet and keep it secure. We never ask for your seed phrase and we will never ask you to share private keys. One wallet means one account, and each wallet may hold at most one account. You are responsible for all activity under your wallet, whether or not you authorized it.

5. Deposits, balances, and withdrawals

On-chain deposits are credited at the market price at detection time, sourced from a third-party price feed. Transfers under $1 in value are not credited to your balance but are not lost: they are recorded and swept with the rest of your deposits. Deposits are final once confirmed on the Solana blockchain. Digital asset transfers are irreversible, and we cannot reverse, cancel, or refund a deposit that has already been credited or swept.

Balances are denominated in USD and displayed in SOL terms. Withdrawals are processed in SOL only. There is a $5 minimum per withdrawal and a flat $1 service fee, plus the standard Solana network fee. Withdrawals are processed by an automated worker, usually within minutes, but we do not guarantee any specific processing time.

6. Draws, odds, and voided rounds

Winning entries are selected by the published provably fair algorithm. We do not pick winners by hand and we cannot change a result after the entry set freezes. Rounds with fewer than two distinct entrants are voided and fully refunded. Prize distribution, ticket caps, and the exact algorithm are published on the Provably Fair page and form part of these Terms.

7. Fees and taxes

Each lottery may carry a rake, a percentage of the pot retained by the house, shown on the lottery before you buy. Withdrawal fees are listed in section 5. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes that apply to your winnings or your use of the Service. We do not withhold, report, or pay taxes on your behalf.

8. Prohibited conduct

By using the Service you agree not to:

  • use the Service where it is illegal, or help anyone in a restricted jurisdiction use it;
  • create or control more than one account, or use multiple wallets to dodge ticket caps or exploit prize structures;
  • deposit funds that come from illegal activity, or use the Service for money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any criminal purpose;
  • abuse bugs, race conditions, or exploits instead of reporting them, or attack the Service, its workers, or other users;
  • use the Service if you have a gambling problem or have self-excluded from gambling services.

If we find prohibited conduct we may suspend or close your account, void entries bought through abuse, and withhold payouts pending investigation.

9. Chat and community

Chat is moderated. Do not spam, scam, harass, post illegal content, share other people's personal information, or advertise. We may mute or ban accounts that break chat rules, and we may remove messages. You remain responsible for what you post.

10. Risk disclosure

This is a gambling service. The expected long-run outcome is a loss: the house retains a rake and fees. Never play with money you cannot afford to lose.

Digital assets are volatile. The SOL, USDC, or USDT you deposit can lose market value while it sits in your balance, and your withdrawal is paid in SOL, so the amount you get back depends on the price at withdrawal time. Blockchain networks can stall, reorganize, or fail. We hold keys to deposit addresses and the treasury, and loss or theft of those keys, a bug, or a hack could make funds unrecoverable. No deposit insurance, government guarantee, or compensation scheme covers your balance. You accept all of these risks.

11. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be available, error-free, secure, or that draws, deposits, or withdrawals will function at any particular time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost tokens, or lost data. Our total aggregate liability for any claim connected to the Service is limited to the greater of the USD value of your account balance at the time of the claim or $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

13. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms, your prohibited conduct, or your use of the Service from a restricted jurisdiction.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason or none, including suspected fraud, abuse, restricted jurisdiction, or legal risk. If we close your account we will process a withdrawal of your remaining balance to your wallet where law allows it, minus amounts we must withhold under section 8. You may stop using the Service at any time; these Terms survive termination for sections that by their nature should survive, including sections 10 through 17.

15. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change the Service and these Terms at any time. When we change these Terms we update the version at the top of this page, and you must accept the new version at your next wallet sign-in. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If a change is material and you do not accept it, your only remedy is to stop using the Service and withdraw your balance.

16. Disputes and governing law

Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute in good faith for 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction of formation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where local consumer law gives you mandatory rights, nothing in these Terms takes those away.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your account or these Terms; we may assign them, for example in a sale of the Service. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Provably Fair page, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. We will give notices to you by posting on the Service or writing to the contact channels tied to your account.
